RECYCLING
We are no longer able to continue service
of recycling at the Public Works building. Republic Services has
informed us that our bins are continually filled with all kinds of
trash, home improvement materials and debris that is not recyclables.
When the driver takes the can to Penn Waste it is being rejected due to
the contamination of the recyclables. The driver is then forced to leave
there and go to the landfill or burner.
AT NO CHARGE, RESIDENTS CAN TAKE THEIR RECYLABLES TO THE LANDFILL AT
4400 MT. PISGAH RD.
The landfills hours are Monday Friday 6:00 am to 3:30 pm and Saturday
6:00 am to 10:00 am.
The Public Works area will be under 24 hour surveillance. Anyone caught
dumping will be prosecuted.
