Miscellaneous Local Ordinance Information

• Animal Ordinance
Promotes general peace, health, welfare and safety of the community. Encourages the proper safe care and management of animals and to minimize the danger to the public’s health by setting standards for sanitation and drainage.

• Dangerous Structures
Provides for the vacation, removal, repair or demolition of dangerous buildings. 

• Garbage / Waste Ordinance

Prohibits the accumulation of or dumping of waste, debris, garbage anywhere in the Township.  

• On-Lot Disposal System Management 
Provides for the requirement of pumping all on-lot septic tanks every four years.


• Open Burning Ordinance
Prohibits the open burning of any material any time on any Sunday or any time after sunset and before sunrise. 

• Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code Ordinance
Requires a Building Code Permit to be obtained whenever a construction project will need to be inspected to ensure that it meets the standards of the Pennsylvania Uniform construction Code (UCC). The UCC covers all aspects of construction: framing, electric, plumbing and mechanical.


• Renter Occupancy Notification Ordinance

Requires landlords to notify Township of tenant information. 

• Vehicle Storage, Salvage Yards
Regulates outside storage of junk and junk vehicles, regulates the establishment and maintenance of salvage yards, and regulates outside sales and storage lots. 

• Weed Ordinance
Prohibits growth of weeds and vegetation growing to more than twelve (12) inches in height.
